Our volunteers at a time that is convenient to you, in a manner you prefer and at a fee you can afford. Several volunteers have volunteered with WWI-Ghana and many more are joining us every day. WWI-Ghana looks forward to welcoming you amongst them.

BECOME WWI-Ghana's HIV/AIDS ADVOCATOR

PROJECT NAME

Building, strengthening and supporting the capacity of PLWHA organizations to effectively advocate for a human rights approach to HIV/AIDS to reduce vulnerability to stigmatization and discrimination.

PROJECT GOAL

To improve human rights in the context of HIV/AIDS for reduced vulnerability to infection and universal access to prevention, treatment, care and support services in Ghana.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

1.To strengthen the capacity of PLWHA organizations to more effectively advocate for the promotion and realization of human rights in response to HIV/AIDS in Ghana.

2.To increase awareness (advocacy ) about human rights abuses ,improved protection of human rights in the context of HIV/AIDS in Ghana.

3.To create a platform for PLWHA organizations to discuss, debate and build consensus on topical human rights issues which are affecting PLWHA at village, town and regional levels e.g. pre-employment screening by employers, withheld treatment and non attendance of hospital staffs to patients.

SPECIFIC VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

1. Be culturally adaptable/flexible.

2. Should be 18 years and above.

3.Be willing to serve as a role model, inspire Staffs of WWI-Ghana and raise awareness.

4. Be able to implement the specific responsibilities.

5.Be able to train Staffs /volunteers of WWI-Ghana on how to effectively advocate for the rights of Persons Living with HIV/AIDS .

6.Should be able to facilitate lessons in English Language.
