Organizational Background
The Trinity Yard School serves the youth of Cape Three Points, Ghana, and the surrounding communities – rural areas where access to further educational opportunities beyond junior high school is limited. Often, the lack of government-run secondary schooling prematurely pushes students off the academic track and limits their growth potential. Our program aims to bridge this gap by providing a fee-free secondary education option with a primary focus on English, Math, Reading Comprehension and a variety of vocational workshops. Upon completion of the academic component we assist in the funding and placement of our graduating students in apprenticeship programs of their choice. Along the way we aim to enrich the lives of not only our students, but also those of our Ghanaian staff and volunteers from abroad who take part in the school's development.

The ideal candidate is available the first week in January through completion of classes in June, followed by one month of service work alongside TYS students and visiting student groups. We are also accepting applications for shorter periods of availability.

Applicants must be flexible, able to take initiative, and open to the multitude of challenges involved in working for a young NGO.
