The Kalikalos holistic living-learning summer school is looking for someone who has a good eye for photography and who has had some experience making and editing short videos with either iMovie or Finalcut pro. We have the equipment to make videos and take photos of the gorgeous area where we are and of our workshops and retreats but so far we have not found a volunteer who has the skills and the interest to join our community-based project and take the focus for this area.
Although the visual arts would be the primary focus of work for this position, the volunteer would be a normal staff vounteer as well (see our listing for volunteers). Our volunteers typically work about 3 hours in the morning, have afternoons off for the beach or hiking the mountain paths, and work a couple of hours in the early evenings. All in all, with one full day off in the week, this amounts to about 34 hr/week. This is basically a working holiday in a very special, untouristic area of Greece--the Pelion peninsula.
Because the volunteer staff at Kalikalos Centre are, along with the workshop and retreat leaders, the faculty that are modeling holistic living and working, there is a two week orientation training involved, for which we ask a €75/week fee which covers the volunteer's food and accommodation.
