This project will give you an inside look into the rural life in the highlands of Peru. It is an opportunity to share the experiences of the local population of Palca. During the project, the volunteers will take part in community development projects with the local people - children, youths and adults. The main objective of this project is increasing awareness of the lifestyle of the Andean communities of Peru, living and sharing with them, understanding more of the personal richness of native Peruvian and their culture and geography.
The project activities include: - Construction of stoves, to improve the quality of life of poor families in the community - Working with young people in the business community: youth, producing yogurt, jam and caramel - Participation in daily tasks with families (sowing, harvesting, irrigation, building houses, etc.) - Teaching children and youth the language you speak (English, French) - Participation in the improvement of the economic activities of the community (agriculture, irrigation systems, etc.)
