Hazael Haven Inc. is searching for passionate and committed volunteers who share our mission. Our hope is to provide women and children experiencing domestic violence with housing and biblical counseling.
Community Educator Volunteer (Interns Welcome)
- Make presentations at schools, churches, etc. about our organization, the dangers of domestic violence, how to prevent it, and the resources available
- Establish collaborative relationships and work with community groups, agencies, and individuals
- The Community Educator will be responsible for interaction in the community and promoting Hazael Haven's services and resources
- Prepare and provide educational materials related to domestic violence
- Implement community education plan, review and evaluate the plan on an established basis
- Maintain committed and cooperative attitude
Qualifications
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication/skills
- Respect for human dignity and domestic violence causes
- Demonstrates ability to deal with professionals and community
