Do you have a background working in a small business environment? The Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce needs your help to expand its outreach activities in the Chino Valley community.
The Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce acts as a collective voice for the businesses serving the Chino Valley community. The Chamber strives to represent the interests of commerce and industry by providing listing and promotion services, putting on special events, and holding networking opportunities for the businesses of Chino Valley.
The Community Outreach Coordinator will be in charge of: interfacing with businesses in the Chino Valley area while trying to attract new Chamber members, performing membership management duties including creating member testimonials and gaining feedback from current members, working with the special events committee to support the implementation of Chamber events, and recruiting volunteers for Chamber activities as necessary.
We are looking for someone who has an interest in working with small business owners to help expand the reach of the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce. The ideal candidate will be a people person with a friendly demeanor who enjoys meeting new people and doesn't mind giving public presentations. They will possess an excellent ability to understand small business owners' and the insight necessary to align the Chamber's resources with the business' needs. Being an independent self-starter is really important in this position, and we expect the right person will have good project management skills. Supervision will be provided from the Executive Director; however, due to the myriad of responsibilities and duties that each staff member has, we expect the ideal candidate to take charge of this project and "knock it out of the park!" Finally, it would be beneficial for the Community Outreach Coordinator to have some experience putting on special events in order to assist with implanting the Chamber's annual community events and activities.
