Fire is used as a restoration tool in many of Ann Arbor's natural areas. This meeting provides information, and is the perfect opportunity to ask questions, learn about the ecological benefits of burning, and hear about the specifics of effectively and safely using fire as a restoration tool. Burns are conducted in city nature areas throughout the spring and fall. If you plan on volunteering with our burn crew for the first time, it is recommended that you attend this meeting in addition to the training. Open for all interested in learning why we burn.
