Volunteer Opportunity description

Reading Partners empowers you to become an effective tutor by matching you with a single student and providing a structured, easy-to-use curriculum and lots of support. Your time and passion can help a child strengthen their reading skills, build confidence, and discover a passion for reading.

Be someone's hero.

Over the past decade, volunteers like you have helped more than 12,000 students become confident readers by using the Reading Partners curriculum. Our volunteer tutors make a huge impact in the lives of their reading partners. By sharing their passion and knowledge, tutors become mentors, friends, and heroes to their students.

Tutoring one-on-one with a child is a fun, powerful way to help a student succeed in reading and life. No prior experience necessary to make a difference!

What: Change a student's life by joining our team of committed reading partners today!

When: 1 hour a week can help a student thrive.

Where: Become a volunteer reading tutor at any of the following schools in Denver!

  • Force Elementary --- 1550 S Wolff St (Southwest Denver

  • University Prep --- 2409 Arapahoe Street (Downtown/Five Points)
  • Rocky Mountain Prep --- 7808 Cherry Creek Drive (Southeast Denver)
  • DCIS at Ford --- 14500 Maxwell Place (Northeast Denver)
