The San Diego Green Building Council (SDGBC) seeks an energetic and skilled individual to support the development and management of our monthly educational events. This position is estimated at 10 hours per month and is an unpaid, part-time, position which can run from 3-12 months, depending on availability.
In addition to the responsibilities listed below, you will get an understanding of SDGBC workings and how we accomplish our mission through education and programs.
Major Responsibilities:
- Attend monthly 1-hour Committee meeting
- Assist in planning and managing upcoming events
- Support logistics at various SDGBC events
- Assist in various administrative duties related to programs, events, and initiatives
Prerequisite Skills:
- Enthusiasm and interest in sustainability and green building
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility and ability to work independently
Optional Skills:
- General event planning skills
- Knowledge of social media, web editing, and blogging tools
