Volunteer Opportunity description

The Girls C.A.R.E. (Creating Avenues for Respect and Empowerment) Program is seeking professionals to guest facilitate our weekly Girl's Together Groups. Volunteers will be speaking to young women in the juvenile system about the following topics:

  • Parenting* *Pregnancy* *STD Prevention* *Anger Management*
  • Stress Reduction* *Women who have been in prison* *Job Skills*
  • Living Healthy* *Drug Abuse* *Prostitution* *Job Skills*
  • Women's Empowerment* *Diversity Awareness*

Volunteers must have experience or expertise on topics that would be beneficial to young women as well as the ability to speak in front of a group of 10-30 people. Please be sober and drug-free. Violent or sexual abuse history disqualifies you from this position. Preference is given to females, as this is a mentorship for young women.

We are flexible with your schedule! You can choose to come in for one Girl's Together Group or 100!
