Volunteer Opportunity description

Tryon Creek State Natural Area announces its brand new Adopt-a-trail program!

Do you enjoy using tools, getting your hands dirty and some good old outdoor manual labor from time to time? Do you feel passionate about land stewardship and helping to preserve protected wildlife areas? If so, read on! The Friends of Tryon Creek are facilitating the opportunity for you to adopt your very own 100- yard section of trail in our 675- acre natural area. We will train you to work safely on basic trail maintenance and support you as you maintain your section of trail. You may adopt as an individual or group. We ask a minimum of 4 hours of service per month over the period of one year. (Length of adoption is negotiable.)
