San Diego Coastkeeper and the San Diego Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation team up to host over 30 beach cleanups each year throughout San Diego County. In 2012 alone 4,308 volunteers removed 7,594 pounds of trash from our waterways and beaches. Come be a part of the effort in 2013!
Volunteers of any age are welcome. All you need to do to participate is attend the cleanup of your choice and sign a waiver. We supply volunteers with all supplies needed for the day.
We do encourage all volunteers to bring their own reusable work gloves and buckets. While we have trash bags and gloves, we want to minimize how much waste we creat while cleaning up!
