About the Organization:
GCCD was created to address and put in place poverty alleviation programs in Haiti. Our current focus is a community in the Central Plateau of Haiti called Marmont. We will have a primary school, a health facility and an agriculture technical school. We believe that the community can only reach self-sustainability when some basic needs are adequately tackled to enable this ultra rural community to have healthy and educated children, drinking water, adequate sanitary conditions and a reasonable agricultural productivity.
Our mission is to work with the people in the community and get them involved with health issues that affect their growth and development. GCCD will promote the health and well-being of the local population by providing accessible, high quality medical care to community residents. About the Job:We are seeking a Resource Mobilization Specialist to develop and roll out a Resource Mobilization Plan that meets the fundraising targets envisaged in GCCD's Resource Mobilization Strategy Plan. This compassionate and results-driven professional will be responsible for all aspects of our resource mobilization programs, working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure compliance with GCCD's internal policies and procedures as well as donor regulations to secure appropriate funding.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Profile and characterize diversified key donors for targeting, including UN, bilateral, multi-laterals, Government, Corporate, and National Offices. The characterization should include, but not limited to: program and geographic area priority, size of grant, proposal submission and approval process, matching fund requirement, funding cycle/period, contact person and address
- Train at least three (3) staff in resource mobilization: approach to potential donors and prepare presentation templates and briefs for potential donor meetings
- Develop a sustainable organizational structure for resource mobilization unit/department, identifying the competency, expertise and skill, logistics support and investment required for GCCD.
Education & Experience:
- A Master's Degree in Finance, Public Administration, Business or another relevant field
Experience managing grants with international development programs and donor funds strongly preferred, and with universities and institutions of higher education.
Demonstrated relevant professional experience in the field of resource mobilization, grants or any related field including experience in fundraising and resource mobilization at international levels
