Attend at least 1 hour of program orientation and continued education offerings, as available.

Are you excited to support others in the amazing adventure of parenting? If so, join the SCAN team in supporting parents by facilitating parent education classes. Go home at night feeling re‐energized after seeing how ordinary people are supporting each other and opening up about the joys and frustrations of being a parent.
Role and Responsibilities:
Prepare and present workshops and/or evidence based curriculums. SCAN will provide materials/training.
Option to work as Parent or Youth facilitator.
Facilitate discussion and encourage mutual self-help exchanges of suggestions, experiences & support.
Notify SCAN staff of any special needs or concerns regarding a child or family, and work with staff to ensure that the child and/or family receives the necessary resources.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Excellent group facilitation skills.
Experience working with groups of youth or adults.
Able to commit to the program on an ongoing, weekly basis for agreed upon timeframe.
Experience and enthusiasm for working with and supporting families.
Strong communication skills.
Strong knowledge of child development.
Mental Health background – academic or professional.
