Are you interesting in event planning? Event Committee members will be an intergral part of creating sustainable support for Shakti Rising fundraising events. Events Committee members will work with the Events Committee to help with event planning tasks and help with set-up the day of the event. Events and Tabling Committee members will also have the opportunity to represent Shakti Rising at community events. Events and Tabling Committee members will play a key role in attracting community members, inspiring their generosity and involvement in the Shakti Rising community .
Time Commitment: Attend planning meeting before each event (about 7 times/yr), approx. 3 hours to help plan event, generally 5-6 hours to help day of event.
Qualifications: Experience planning events, experience as a leader or desire to lead. Knowledge and experience in Shakti's Resource Development model. Detail-oriented and organized.
Training Provided: Support from staff and Events Committee; hands-on training planning events and in Shakti Rising's innovative model. For tabling at events, this volunteer will be trained to be an effective representative of Shakti Rising.
Benefits: Events and Tabling Committee Members will be directly connected to the success of Shakti Rising's events. Will be able to put leadership, events planning, management, fundraising on resume.
