Volunteer Purpose
To ensure all clients are receiving the one-on-one attention needed to be able to learn how to utilize technology in their job search. Volunteer may also assist staff in coaching clients in other areas of job search, such as interviewing.
Volunteer Duties
- Assist job seekers with lower level computer skills complete online applications successfully, utilize email in their job search, complete internet job searches, and improve overall knowledge of technology.
- Assisting clients in using computers in a way that is both educational and efficient.
- Working with clients one-on-one to assist them in improving their interviewing skills
Volunteer Requirements
- Must know how to complete online forms, email, and have a working knowledge of other computer tasks and basic Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to communicate how to complete tasks
- Patience
- Appreciation for diversity
Time Commitment and Location:
South Minneapolis
Mondays afternoons from 2:30 to 4:30
