Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver
- Deliver meals to homebound Meals on Wheels participants.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Submit to a criminal background investigation. Use own car to deliver meals.
- Average Time Commitment; 1 ½ - 2 hours/day, between 10:30am and 1pm
Dining Room/Kitchen Assistant
- Setting and clearing table, Meal preparation and serving
- Packing up Meals on Wheels coolers, Washing dishes
- Stand for long periods, Youth under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult and may work in the Dining Room
- Average Time Commitment: multiple shifts available between 8am and 1pm
Central Kitchen Assistant – Industrial Kitchen
SW Portland, Multnomah Village
- High-production, very fast paced, Pre-plate meals, Prepare cold meal trays
- Wash dishes, assist with laundry, Standing for the entire shift, minimum 15 years of age
- Each day may be different or you may be asked to do the same activity for multiple days.
- Average Time Commitment: 4 hours between 6am and 3pm, a minimum of 3 months, TH and/or FR
Dishwasher
• Properly run and maintain high production dishwashing equipment
• Clean all pots, pans and dishes and store in appropriate area
• Must be able to stand for the entire shift
Walk with Ease Volunteer Group Leader
- Lead a group of seniors on one hour walks out of doors within the local area
- Walking may take place on paths and/or nearby nature parks, tracks or city streets/sidewalks
- Walks are on weekdays, and generally between the hours of 8am and 2:30pm
- Must be able to commit to six weeks, two to three times per week.
