We are looking for volunteers 55+ to give homebound senior citizens residing in Upper Passaic County peace of mind knowing that his or her shopping needs will be met. The volunteer must be willing to assist and transport Paterson seniors via the agency car for appointments such as visits to the Board of Social Services, Legal Aid, Bank, Social Security, Food Pantry and other agencies as needed. The driver will stay with the client until meetings are finished and make sure he/she is driven home. The volunteer must have good driving skills and valid driver's license. He/She must like to work with seniors and have a friendly and outgoing personality. This opportunity will require a commitment of approximately four (4) hours per day, one or two days a week as needed.
