A $750 dollar donation will secure your spot for this project and go directly towards funding our groundbreaking work. FTPF will arrange all logistics for the project, including accommodations, airport transfers, and local transport to project sites, however all additional costs such as meals and entertainment are the volunteer's responsibility (including airfare).
The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation (FTPF) is an award-winning international nonprofit charity dedicated to planting fruitful trees and plants to alleviate world hunger, combat climate change, strengthen communities, and improve the surrounding air, soil, and water.
Join FTPF this July in El Salvador, a country where deforestation & soil erosion has had serious environmental, social, & economic impacts. The rural population here is most greatly affected, with nearly one million Salvadorans living in poverty & over 50% of El Salvador's land unsuitable for food cultivation.
Volunteers will help FTPF to bring the life-sustaining abundance that comes from fruit trees to the people of El Salvador. Orchards will be placed in low-income neighborhoods, schools, parks, orphanages, & town centers. Volunteers have the opportunity to work side by side with FTPF staff as we educate community leaders on organic horticultural practices & how to reap the most benefit from the harvest. You will have your hands in the dirt with school children as they learn about the importance of fruit trees for themselves, their communities, & for the earth. We seek volunteers with a deep respect for the environment & for the local cultures in which we plant.
