Volunteer Opportunity description

IMEC is seeking a biomedical engineer to help us in testing, diagnosing and repairing to field serviceability donations we have received from medical surplus. Through our Global Green initiative we receive donations from hospitals and clinics of surplus medical equipment. In most cases this equipment functions perfectly but has been taken out of service due to upgrades. IMEC repurposes this equipment to third world hospitals and clinics to provide access to healthcare for millions that had no access.

Since 1995 IMEC has worked in nearly 80 countries, providing hospital suites and supplies. Last year alone we shipped out over 100 40 foot shipping containers to the less fortunate around the world. Examination suites, maternity suites, surgical suites and more have helped make a difference in thousands of lives.

If you have experience with biomedical equipment and would like to use those skills for humanitarian efforts we'd love for you to visit us and see our vision.
