The Outreach and Communications Specialist works directly with program supervisors to identify ways to promote HCV programs to more people in the community who may be in need of services; through increased outreach, more people will be helped and be given the opportunity for a successful life in our community.
Duties:
- Identify innovative ways to reach out to the community and inform potential clients about HCV/NVFS services and programs
- Work directly with program supervisors to prepare advertisement materials that can be distributed to the community for outreach and be used by supervisors to showcase their programs' details and outcomes
- Drive to nearby locations to distribute flyers and other advertisement materials and speak to people about HCV/NVFS services
- Assist with other projects as necessary
Qualifications:
- Spanish fluency required
- Background in Communications/Marketing/Advertisement preferred
- Desire to work with Hispanic/Latino community of Northern Virginia
- Own vehicle
- Successful completion of background check required
Time: 6 month commitment; minimum of 5 hours per week, Volunteer hours can be scheduled flexibly during office hours (weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
