The Sonoma County Family YMCA currently seeks volunteers to help enrich youth experiences at the Y's after school recreation programs. Volunteers are vital to the Y's mission to strengthen the community, and volunteers help the Y to create the greatest impact in the lives of Sonoma County children and families.
Recreation Assistants help engage K-6th grade children in various sports and recreational activities. While playing sports with kids, Recreation Assistants develop positive relationships, and help provide support, encouragement and mentoring to Y youth. Recreation Assistants help out at programs in Santa Rosa and Windsor anytime from 3-6pm Monday through Friday.
The Y seeks volunteers who are active, enjoy sports, and love working with kids! No previous experience is required.
