KYRS is currently seeking a Treasurer to oversee financial aspects of the station. This is a volunteer board member position with a three year commitment. Duties include: creating and maintaining financial reports, assessing and reporting fiscal health to the board, ensuring bookkeeper duties are completed in a timely manner, assisting financial committee with yearly budget to be presented to the board.
KYRS-Thin Air Community Radio is a volunteer-powered, non-commercial, listener-supported, community radio station based out of Spokane, WA. serving the surrounding areas with unique programming for un-served and underserved populations. Heard on 92.3 & 88.1 FM and streaming live 24/7 at www.kyrs.org. We provide a mix of news, views, culture and music often overlooked by other media.
Qualifications: Financial/accounting background, willingness to commit time for board meetings and other events, prefered experience as board treasurer for other organization, familiarity with accounting for nonprofits A plus -- experience as board treasurer of another organization Comfortable in collaborative, consensus-oriented environment.
