JusticeCorps is recruiting NOW for great students, like yourselves, to help your local community access the judicial system! JusticeCorps is an AmeriCorps program operated through the Los Angeles Superior Court. This program recruits and trains college students to educate the public to navigate the complicated court system and to offer assistance with their legal paperwork regarding family law (divorce, child custody, visitation and paternity), housing law and small claims law. Students in this program learn many professional skills and learn the court system and processes. Applicants must have a good background in community service or work experience and have a desire to help their local community with their legal matters. All majors are welcome to apply.
Summer 2013 program: Members in this program complete 300 hours of service within 2 1/2 months, which averages to 35 hours per week. Program starts on June 17, 2013 and ends August 16, 2013. Members who complete the program receive an education award of $1175. This program is open to all colleges across the country and all college levels (including graduates) and open to all majors. Priority application deadline is February 08, 2013 but we will continue to accept applications after the deadline until all slots are filled
