Volunteers are the heart of our organization. As we grow, Sought Out desires to continue to strengthen and reward our passionate volunteer team. We are currently looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to connect, lead and serve our volunteers. Is this you?
Position Responsibilities
- Crafting and posting volunteer position announcements.
- Monitoring application submission and reviewing applications for minimum qualifications.
- Working with Executive Director and Operations Manager to ensure qualified applicants are interviewed, reference checks conducted, and background checks completed.
- Working with Executive Director and Operations Manager in developing and implementing volunteer orientation and benchmarks for current volunteers.
- Upgrading procedures, processes, forms, etc., as needed.
- Implementing team-building activities between staff and volunteers and developing ways to appreciate and reward volunteers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree preferably in Business or Human Services.
- 2+ years managerial experience in a volunteer or employee capacity.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong writing skills.
- Passion for Sought Out's mission.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced in the development or revision of nonprofit volunteer and constituent policies and procedures.
- Completed one or more of our ministry programs.
