To empower indigenous peoples to assess the impact of climate change on their communities and ecosystems and to develop and implement strategies and proposals at local, national and international levels for building indigenous resilience and adaptive strategies to mitigate impacts while enhancing biocultural diversity for food sovereignty and self-determined development or "Buen Vivir."
This unique opportunity will assist with English to Spanish translation for the Gender Working Group of IPCCA, based out of India. This branch of the IPCCA is asking for assistance with translations of varying lengths on a needs basis. Types of translations needed include but are not limited to communications among the IPCCA Local Assessments, GWG news updates, and reports on their findings. To qualify for the position, volunteers should have advanced written Spanish skills.
