Kids Home France (KHF) and Kids Home Italia (KHI) have set-up a Thai-registered foundation (non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization), whose mission is to provide the children an access to education, support basic and medical needs in/around Chiang Mai. The local foundation benefits from direct technical and financial assistance from both French and Italian organizations. Overall objective is to help families to become sustainable.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Kids Home is currently looking for a Social Business Project Manager. The objective of the mission is to help develop, print, publish, distribute and sell a Children's book in order to raise funds and ensure the development of on field activities with children.
More specifically, it includes the following tasks:
1-Implementation of a social business plan designed to promote the creation of a children book.
2-Marketing planning: Book specifications/Price positioning/Strategy regarding the distribution channels.
3-Coordination of book printing-distribution.
4-Financial and management planning, in order to reach further self sustainability in terms of fundraising.
5-Grant research to support this social business.
6-Participation to local projects developed by the NGO: Smile Project (after-school activities delivered in governmental school and orphanage) / Flying Library Project (itinerant library activities delivered in slums around Chiang Mai).
Training: Relevant field (project/financial management and/or social sciences, social work)
Experience: Working and living experience in relevant field - preferably in Asia. Previous experience in social business/communication is recommended.
Personal characteristics: Excellent analytical, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work and live in a multi-cultural environment. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, flexible and interested in Social Business.
Languages: Good skills in written and oral English. French/Thai considered as an asset.
Other skills: Ability to drive a motorbike
Duration of contract: minimum 6 months (expected to start as soon as possible in 2013).
Position status: Six months contract, Internship / Volunteering - open to any nationality
Compensation: No financial compensation / Self-financing initiatives open to discussion
Benefits: Accommodation and food, motorbike, phone allowance.
