Want to make a difference for kids and families in your community this summer? Be a Summer Meals field day volunteer with United Way of King County!
For many low-income families, the summer months are particularly stressful and thousands of kids aren't getting the food and nutrition they need. In King County, 100,000 low-income children and teenagers rely on free or discounted meals during the school year, but less than 20% access free meals during the summer. That's why United Way is committed to serving more meals than ever before this summer, and we need your help!
Every Wednesday, United Way is hosting a field day at a Summer Meals site located in King County. These are super fun days packed with educational activities, games, and food. We need volunteers to help facilitate activities and make sure kids want to come back day after day! Love summer camp? This is ther right opportunity for you. You will have lots of time to play games with kiddos and make a huge difference in your community.
