Get Involved, Be Inspired,

Volunteer at the Museum of Contemporary Craft!

Exploring craft since 1937, the Museum of Contemporary Craft is a vibrant regional hub for investigation and dialogue with craft, where the community can connect creatively, professionally and socially. Volunteers greet and engage visitors in exploring our provocative exhibitions, growing collection and sales gallery. Help support MoCC's mission to enliven and expand the understanding of craft and the museum experience – become a museum volunteer!

We are seeking dedicated individuals in the following areas:

Front Desk Admissions

The Admissions Volunteer handles cash and credit transactions with visitors. Admissions Volunteers must have the ability to work with software and provide high quality customer service. Cash handling experience or QuickBooks Point of Sale experience is desirable. This position requiresan admission systems training session.

Front Desk Greeter

While the Admissions Volunteer accepts payment, the Greeter Volunteer provides information to visitors regarding exhibitions, policies, Museum lay-out, manages coat check. Greeters must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Special Events

Special Museum events such as Members' Exhibition Previews, receptions, galas, fundraisers, require volunteer support in many facets. Special Events Volunteers assist with welcoming guests, event production, gallery monitoring, disseminating information to visitors, hosting, and other tasks.

Prospective volunteers should enjoy interacting with the public and be able to make a four-month, two shifts per month commitment and attend a volunteer orientation.
