Generation Hope, a scholarship and mentorship organization for teen parents in the Washington DC area, is currently looking for CHILDCARE VOLUNTEERS to help out at our annual Hope Conference!
Our Hope Conference will be taking place on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Georgetown University Hotel & Conference Center (3800 Reservoir Road, Washington DC 20007). Our Hope Conference is an all-day conference for our Scholars, in which we train our Scholars on a variety of different topics, ranging from employment readiness to parenting skills to study habits -- everything to help our Scholars be successful in college! We're offering childcare at this event so that our Scholars can be fully present and enjoy the Hope Conference (instead of worrying about securing a babysitter).
In order to make Hope Conference a success, we need VOLUNTEERS to provide high-quality childcare for our Scholar's children. Childcare is always a blast -- imagine reading Dr. Seuss, making Play-Doh castles, playing hide-n-seek, and doing other fun activities with our Scholar's kiddos! Plus we have a healthy eating presentation, an archaeology workshop, and a book reading lined up, which will make the day even more fun. Sign up to provide childcare using this link.
This is a GREAT opportunity to make a difference for our organization, and to help us with our mission to provide financial and emotional support for teen parents in college. Please contact Silvana Rueda (Program Coordinator, firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions. Hope to see you at the Hope Conference!
