Student intern for the 29th annual Bread & Roses Heritage Festival

Based in Lawrence, the Bread and Roses Heritage Committee is a non-profit organization. We are planning the 29th annual Bread & Roses Labor Day Heritage Festival on Labor Day, September 2, 2013 We are looking for a student intern who can help with planning, programming, fundraising,and booking performers, publicity, vendors, historical groups, as well as supporting other aspects of festival organization including sound, staging and other logistics, publicity, and internal communications .

The Committee's activities gradually increase from January until the Festival, on Labor Day, September 2, 2013. Hours, responsibilities and a stipend are open to discussion. Academic credit may be available.

The Festival commemorates the Bread & Roses Strike of 1912, and includes music, dance and drama, historical programming, and is a forum for social justice organizations.
