The Louisiana Bucket Brigade is looking for volunteers for the New Orleans Earth Day Festival and Green Business Expo. The festival will take place on April 21, 2013, and will feature live music, local food, and a showcase of green initiatives taken by local business, artists, and non-profit organizations. Support a better planet for all and sign up to volunteer today!
We are seeking friendly, outgoing individuals to be "Button Pushers" at their Earth Day festival. Buttons will be sold for $2 and proceeds will be used to support the organization and the festival. "Button Pusher" tasks will include:
Orientation: All volunteers are required to attend a Volunteer Orientation prior to the festival. Several orientation dates and times will be offered in April. Stay tuned for the orientation schedule as we get closer to the festival date.
Perks: Volunteers have all day access to our Volunteer Buffet which has delicious food and quenching beverages to keep you happy throughout the festival. Volunteers are free to partake before, between, or after their shift(s). Plus, the festival provides a pleasant working environment with plenty of great music, activities, vendors, and art installations to take in.
Shifts: 10am-1pm, 1pm-4pm, 4pm-7:30pm, please commit to at least one full shift
Check-in: Volunteers will check in with Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer tent upon arrival
Special skills and considerations: Volunteers should be comfortable working outside for long periods of time, acting, performance, canvassing, or sales experience a plus.
