General Core Team Requirements
We expect the following requirements for team leaders:
Have a can do attitude
Have a team spirit attitude
Have a go with the flow attitude
Attend as many full lightings as possible (goal 9+)
New members will attend an orientation and then all members will meet before the season starts
Holocaust Memorial Core Team Requirements
We expect, in addition to the above requirements, the following for Holocaust Memorial Core Team leaders:
Be engaging, friendly, and outgoing
Have some interest in Jewish history or world religions
Be interested in learning the details of the Memorial's history and purpose, as well as the history and purpose of WaterFire's installation around the Memorial
Be comfortable and confident leading and supervising volunteers
Holocaust Memorial Core Lead Duties
The Core Lead will lead the station's preparation before the event begins and lead in striking the station down when the event is ending. The Core Lead will interact with visitors in a helpful, friendly, and polite manner and ensure the safety and well-being of the station's equipment. While interacting with visitors, the Core Lead will provide information when asked about the installation and the entire WaterFire event.
Snacks and water are provided during events, and staff is always available to provide help or information.
