Volunteer Opportunity description

Grant Writer

Whether from a government agency or a private foundation, grants provide a wonderful funding opportunity for our organization. We need grant writers who are willing to dedicate between 5-10 hours a week to researching grant opportunities, completing grant applications, and commuicating the results to the GFG team.

Commitment Level:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create boiler plate narratives concerning the organization's history, programs, budget, and funding sources to utilize in grant applications.
  • Apply for and obtain grants from government agencies, corporations, foundations, etc.
  • Interact with appropriate team members as necessary
  • Participate in fundraising events as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by the executive director
