Volunteer Opportunity description

Join our youth on trips by bike to historic, scenic and community spaces in the City. Groups from both North Philly and West Philly shops meet up and ride together.

Volunteer Role: Encourage and assist youth while riding through Philadelphia. Volunteers should either be a competent rider that knows west Philly well and can lead the rides that are pre-planned, or one who could hold up the center of the ride line, encouraging signals and safe traffic skills, and possibly holding up intersections. Both should be respectfully authoritative with the youth, help lead games.

Times and Locations: One Saturday per month year round. The group leaves from the North Philly shop at 9:30am and from the West Philly shop at 10am, arriving back at the starting points by 2:45pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled leave time.

The next ride is Saturday March 29th. We will be embarking on a cycling day- tour through Fairmount park to Chamounix Mansion for a tour and lunch!
