PROMOTING THE USE OF SPANISH LANQUAGE IN GHANA FOR ACCELERATED NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM SUMMARY
Women Watch International (WWI-GHANA) is introducing a new volunteer placement program to accelerate national development-the use of Spanish Language among children of school going age in Ghana.
WWI-GHANA in a recent interview among some school children in Ghana on which foreign language they will like to learn.
Over 90 percent of the school children said Spanish.
WWI-GHANA also conducted another interview among men and women over the length and breath of the country on the same issue.
Over 80 percent of those interviewed said Spanish.
The volunteer placement opportunity is to draw international attention on the need to promote Spanish language and culture in Ghana for an accelerated national development.
WWI-GHANA has developed a model of multiple learning styles which has become a central part of any accelerated learning experience.
TARGET: AGES-2-3, 4-5 and 6-10, 11+
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
1.To promote inclusion of children who may be marginalized for reasons of gender, religion, ability, ethnicity, disability or social background.
2.To create a learning environment that will cater for all learning styles or intelligence.
3.To promote experiential learning and holistic development using culture ,play games and activities.
