Volunteer Opportunity description

We have exciting volunteer opportunities for any interested community members to become school and classroom educators.

The Environmental Volunteers is an environmental education and outreach organization that has been serving San Mateo and Santa Clara counties for over 40 years.

We provide K-6 classrooms with engaging hands-on learning activities to supplement everyday curriculum with fun and exciting lessons about science, nature, and the environment.

We will be holding a 6 session training workshop on Thursdays, from March 7th through April 4th from 9am - 1:30pm at our Moorpark Avenue office. We will give you all of the training that you need to help you engage our youth in lessons in Geology, Environmental Science, Water Science and much more. We will have professional presenters join us from around the area to provide you with accurate information and training to get you prepared.

We will be covering our Explorations in Ecology Module.

The training location is at our office at:

4020 Moorpark Ave.

San Jose, CA 95117

The fee for training is $75 ($50 for returning EV's) and we offer scholarships for those that need it.
