Volunteer Opportunity description

Zidisha is the world's first direct peer-to-peer lending service to bridge the international wealth divide, allowing individuals in the US and internationally to lend to and communicate with borrowers in developing countries without local intermediaries. This is a part-time, flexible schedule, work-from-home volunteer role. Time commitment is flexible depending on the volunteer's availability; we anticipate between 5 and 10 hours per month. ·Complete month-end bank reconciliations for each bank account held by Zidisha before the end of the following month, including the source of any discrepancies between the balances calculated in QuickBooks and actual bank balances.

·Check that supporting documentation (contracts, invoices, receipts, bank statements etc.) as required under GAAP are filed in Zidisha's Shared Files.

2. Optional Additional Responsibility: Facilitate compliance with IRS reporting requirements for tax-exempt organizations.

·Help ensure that revenues and expenses are recorded and reported in accordance with IRS regulations.

·Assist to prepare annual IRS 990 form.

3. Optional Additional Responsibility: Facilitate annual audits of Zidisha's financial statements.
