Volunteer Opportunity description

Leave Out Violence (LOVE) BC is a grassroots non-profit organization. Our mission is to eliminate violence in the lives of youth and in our communities by building a team of youth who communicate a message of non-violence. LOVE uses media arts as a vehicle for youth expression and youth voice, and leadership as the modality of change. Our programs specifically focus on youth who experience multiple barriers.

We are looking for a person with graphic design skills to format and design the layout of various promotional and informational documents that will be distributed to the community.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled or previously enrolled in a graphic design course/program or extensive knowledge on graphic design

Time Commitment:

  • Minimum 3 month commitment
  • 3-5 hours a week
  • Volunteer can work from home or use our computers in the office

Deliverables:

  • Format and design the layout for informational documents and promotional documents to be distributed to our community partners, sponsors, organizations and community members.
  • Format and design the layout for internal documents to be used by staff and youth in the programs
