Volunteer Opportunity description

Employment Action Center, a division of RESOURCE, provided comprehensive employment, education, and family -support services to 14,713 low-income adults, laid-off workers, veterans, at-risk youth, teen parents, welfare recipients, new Americans and their families to ensure their economic success, academic achievement, and family stability.

Community Tech Centers are available to all job seeking clients to utilize for education and employment purposes. Some of the tasks that a volunteer may assist with are resumes, cover letters, completing online applications, computer/internet navigation, company research, training research, document help, researching bus routes and performing a housing search.

Volunteers are expected to commit at least 3 hours per week.

Available in Minneapolis on Mon, Wed, Fri during business hours AND Tues, thur in afternoons.

Volunteers are expected to be profficient in using a computer and have some experience with completing job search tasks.
