We need volunteer professors to teach courses to Haitian undergraduate and graduate students. We accept volunteers for any durration of time and you can make a difference in as little as a weekend.
Though we can not cover travel costs, we provide housing and lunch visiting professors. Our housing and campus are located in Bon Repos. Our facillity has a pool, a gym, an outdoor track, and a soccer field. Photos are available by request.
Visiting professors may find knowledge of Haitian Creole or french helpful, but it is not required since classroom translation is available. We can do translation into Haitian Creole from English, French, and Spanish.
Experience with higher education level instruction is desired for social sciences classes. For psychologists and social workers, there are opportunities for clinical work and supervised field hours as well. We require a minimum of a master's degree for courses in:

English language (ESL or TOSEL training is a plus)
Computer classes (typing, MS Office, social networks)
Instructors are welcome and encouraged teach short-term intensive classes, though we need to plan in advance to give students an opportunity to register. We can also arrange for university student-interns to assist with research during your stay. Students tend to really appreciate the opportunity to build their skills and expertise by working with visiting professors.
