Friendship Circle is a non-profit organization that provides programs and support to the families of individuals with special needs. In addition to assisting individuals with special needs, the Friendship Circle enriches its vast network of volunteers by enabling them to reap the rewards of selfless giving.
The Special Needs Coordinator will work with children who have special needs, teen volunteers, instructors, group leaders, volunteer coordinators and families to ensure creativity and success of participants. The Special Needs Coordinator is present for all programming with a specific focus on participants; identifying plans, strategies and tools to ensure maximum impact and engagement during programming.
The Special Needs Coordinator reports to the Program Manager communicating all program information on an ongoing basis.

• Strong organizational capabilities. , • Ability to follow through to the completion of tasks. , • Ability to work with co-workers cross departmentally with strong communication skills. , • Ability to recognize situations where intervention is needed. , • Ability to be friendly courteous and professional to outside stakeholders. , • Strong computer literacy experience with Board Maker preferred. , • Ability to identify create and implement behavior modification plans. , • Ability to creatively brainstorm solutions. , • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. , • CPR and First Aid Certified , • CPI Training preferred
