Living in unclean areas is also another common cause for illness, however in many areas in Ghana there are problems of rubbish on the streets. This can cause the open gutters to become blocked preventing the unclean water from draining away, this resist pool of stagnant, the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes leading to the spread of malaria.
You will work alongside members of the community to clear rubbish from the streets and the gutters in order to create a safer and healthier environment.
