Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags (DVWMTS) seeks a part-time Volunteer Coordinator to assist us with recruiting, interviewing and following up with interns and regular organization volunteers.
About DVWMTS
Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags mission is to bring awareness to the community and families as whole as it pertains to abuse. We want to educate schools, churches, and mentor groups by reprogramming the amygdala with better decision making skills. We want to find ways that are fun and interesting for families, schools, and or churches to talk about abuse on any platform. We want to make sure that we are in the community bringing new and approved information & resources for the people that are the face of abuse & to the abusers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the organization staff team as well as seek potential qualified board members
- Recruiting staff members and volunteers that are needed on our team as well as events
- Selecting and interviewing volunteers and staffs
- Introducing members of the team
- Actively be involved with staff meetings
- Provide supervision to some direct service volunteers
- Interview possible new volunteers
- Coordinate, and possibly provide trainings for volunteers
- Verify and follow-up with any reporting needed from volunteers Required qualifications
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Previous experience leading and/or coordinating volunteers
