Volunteer Opportunity description

Connecting Schools to the World offers teaching and learning opportunities to college graduates who wish to spend 4 months in Argentina while making a strong contribution to its education as well as furthering their own. College graduates are given TESOL training in Buenos Aires and are placed in small towns in Argentina where English teachers are very hard to come by. Educators are placed in home stay and given 4 hours of Spanish classes a week. This experience provides complete immersion to the language and the Argentine culture. Participants also receive TESOL training prior to their placement. There is a one semester commitment with the option of staying the whole year. Semesters start in mid Feb and in mid July. The moderate Connecting fee helps provide for the above mentioned benefits.

We look for persons who can think creatively, who want to make a difference and who are willing to become part of the Argentine community. Our mission is not only to fill a need but to also benefit all involved.
