Are you a great communicator who is looking for opportunity to help nonprofit organization to make a difference, while gaining experience and improving your resume?
Asante Africa Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to work on preparation of our annual fundraising event that will take place in November of 2013. We need help with emailing and calling our current and potential donors, primarily companies and business, asking them to provide silent auction items, partner with us on event preparation, provide informational support etc. The hours are flexible and you can work remotely. Time commitment is 5-7 hours per week.
This is a great opportunity to enhance your communications/public relations skills in relation to the non-profit sector. Volunteering with Asante Africa will provide hands-on experience in the day-to-day work at this fast-paced organization.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication (verbal, listening and writing) skills and an outstanding attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to work rapidly and meet deadlines under pressure
- Detail oriented, team player, and technologically savvy
- Access to phone and computer with internet connection
