Volunteer Opportunities at Buduburam Refugee Camp, Ghana

At CHRAD, we strongly believe that, a healthy and progressive society relies fundamentally on respect for human rights, the vitality of communities and a celebration of diversity of views and experiences. Thus, we offer an array of services that are intended to amplify the efforts of forward-thinking philanthropists, foundations, activists, volunteers, well-wishers and organizations geared towards making the world a better place to live than ever before.

As part of effort to expand our services to the vulnerable refugees and the adjoining communities at Buduburam Refugee Camp, in the Central Region of the Republic of Ghana, we have earmarked number of projects to undertake herewith called "Plan of Action 2013" to be used as our startegic guide.

To ensure a succesful implementation of this plan, we requesting for services interested who are willing to give in their time as VOLUNTEER to assist in the implementation of this laudable of ours.

The Following methods of volunteering are acceped year long through 2013.

1) Online Volunteering: -this opportunities is open to well-wishers who intend to assist us on line by (a) advertising our services to potential donors, well-wishers for the purpose fund raising (b) editing our reports, proposals and website content to meet standard (c) Developing ideas that can help our organization grow etc . Incidentally, we seeking assistance to completely rebuild our website (contents and structure). These services is free of charge and are warmly acknowledged and certificate for.

2) Local Volunteer:- those persons in Ghana (Ghanaian and non-Ghanaian ) who have the passin to help humanitarian (vulnerable) with services that are inline and or are useful to building the capacity of the vulnerable in society. These services is free of charge and are warmly acknowledged and certificate for.

3) International Volunteer :- International Volunteers are referred to those interested individuals who are outside Ghana and wish to volunteer with our organization. This position is open to Males as well as Females aged 18 and above with at least a High School or its equivalent educational background.

To ensure that, the volunteers is protected and conforted in the discharge of his / her duties, we provide the following ...

i) Invitation letter to assist in secure travel visa to Ghana.

ii) Air Port Pick-up on arrival and Drop off on departure are their convineince

iii) Accomodation through-out service period

iv) Internet Access 24/7

v) Feeding

vi) Tourist Visit

vii) Placement

viii) Transport on official errands

LANGUAGE

English Language is the official language for teaching and learning Ghana.

To enable meet the above services, we do charge volunteers an affordable Placement Fees. Please contact us for details.

DURATION OF SERVICE

Minimun of Four (4) weeks and Maximun of Nine (9) months

a) Tecahing school children from Kindergartten, Primary, Junior High and Senior High.

b) Office Duties

c) Counseling (inspirational talk shows)

d) Health Care Services
