This is an excellent opportunity to gain work experience with a non profit organisation operating worldwide. We are looking for bright, enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to take care of our coming event based in London on May 2013.
Working hours: 14 weekly/depending on the availability (morning or afternoon shift) from March to the end of May
Job Location: All London Area and West London
Required: excellent English, spoken and written, IT literate, communicative skills, previous experience in PR or Marketing
Preferable: Previous experience within charities' event management
The role: this is a temporary role and a voluntary position. The Event manager Assistant would organise the pre and post-production activities, reporting to our Event Manager. Key role within the Fundraising Team and Marketing Dep.
General duties involve general marketing project support as required and support within the department.. You will provide extensive support for the Event Manager as required and be able to manage smaller projects using own initiative.
This is a supportive role but also provides clear areas for ownership and management of events.
We are seeking someone with a good level of understanding of all Microsoft packages. A positive and can-do attitude, willingness to muck in and get involved with the whole team. Flexibility - events inevitably involve travel and irregular working hours on occasion. Composure under pressure and a well-organised working style and good planning skills.
