PARENTS HELPING PARENTS
CHILDCARE POSTING
ABOUT PARENTS HELPING PARENTS:
Parents Helping Parents is a nonprofit offering two services to parents in need: Parent Support Groups and a Parental Stress Hot-Line. Parent Support Groups are for parents who want to improve their relationship with their children. Parents come to our Support Groups seeking encouragement and feedback on parenting-related issues. Shared leadership, trust, respect, responsibility, and positive parenting are key components of our Support Groups. Groups provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for creating positive and caring peer relationships. Our approach is preventative; once the emotional support of the parent has been strengthened, a parent is better able to actively guide and nurture their family.
DESCRIPTION:
Many parents need on-site child care in order to benefit from our Parent Support Groups. PHP is currently seeking a volunteer to provide child care at our South Boston Group.
Volunteers must have experience working or volunteering with children and must be at least 18 years of age.
Volunteers must be willing to commit to their role on Wednesday nights between the hours of 6:30pm and 8pm.
