"I Run For Your Life" is a fast growing organization, determined to make the world a better place through athletics and charitable contribution. We seek talented volunteers/interns who are interested in helping build up the organization, and who aren't afraid to tackle intense projects. As an intern you will get to work with a variety of our staff, while working on real company projects.
Our ideal candidate is starting a career in web design and/or development and needs a high profile portfolio piece to help take them to the next level.
What You Will Learn/Do:
- Learn from interactive professionals with almost 20 years in digital
- Assist in the creation and ongoing maintenance of our event website,onelarun.org
- Explore topics that range from UX and IA to adaptive design and web analytics
- Plenty of additional opportunities in related and ongoing projects.
What We Require:
- Competent PHP, HTML & CSS skills
- Knowledge of databases generally and MySQL specifically (e.g. can create, edit and query tables via PHP)
- Prior experience implementing Wordpress themes
- Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop
- A passion for athletics is a plus
